Mashed with other grains, adds body, head retention, crisp refreshing flavor. K-10 Light Crystal Malt (20 lv.). Adds body, sweetness, some copper color, and head retention. . K-9a Medium Crystal Malt (60 lv.). Same properties as Light Crystal, but more color and flavor. K-9 Dark Crystal Malt (90 Iv.). Adds much more color and rich flavor. Used for dark beers. K-10a Cara-Pils (Dextrine) Malt. Adds malty character and body to many beers. The color is light. K-12 Roasted Barley. Dark brown roast. Adds distinctive roasted flavor and bitterness to Stouts. K-13 Victory Malt A toasted Malted Barley. Light in color, adds rich toasted flavor to beer. K-14 Special Roast. Adds distinctive red color and malty flavor to beers such as Ales and Bocks. K-15 Black Patent Malt. Very black. Adds dark color and dry burnt flavor to Porter, Stout, etc. K-16 Black Barley. Extremely black. Different and distinctive flavor character from Black Malt. K-18 Chocolate Malt. Dark Brown. Adds a pleasant nutty, toasted flavor to many beer styles. Other Grain Products We don't sell Flaked Maize, but for Corn recipes just mash Corn Meal or Corn Starch with your brewing barley. Dry Malted Rice and Dry Malted Wheat extracts are on Page 22. K-20 Flaked Barkey 1 lb. = 2.95 K-35 Malto-Dextrin Powder (non-fermentable) 8 oz. = 1.50 Crushing - We offer free crushing of grains. Please let us know if you need your grains crushed. Otherwise, we will send them uncrushed. If you are going to store grain, you should consider getting a Grain Mill (#E-5). Crushed grain does not store well, and it is best to crush it just before brewing.
